Nazirah Course: A one year course designed to build fluency in reciting Quraan with the correct Tajwid.
Hifz Course: A 2-3 years intensive memorization program of the Quran.
A one year course designed to build fluency in reciting Quraan with the correct Tajwid (pronunciation). Students are also taught the fundamentals of Islam related to aqidah (Fundamental believes of Islam), Fiqh (basic laws of Islam pertaining to cleanliness and salah). All faculty of Jamiah are certified Qaris and scholars. Students also are given practical training in wudu, ghusl, tayammum , salaat and janaazah etc.
A 2-3 years intensive memorization program of the Quran. Students also have daily Taleem and Islamic Studies on the following subjects (Aqidah, Fiqh, Hadith, Sirah, Tarikh, Akhlaq and Adab).
Nazirah: Prior to acceptance into the Hifz course, students must either enroll into the Naazra course or have completed the Naazra course at another Islamic institute. The Naazra course starts by teaching each student the correct pronunciation of the Arabic alphabet. Students are taught the principles of intonation (tajweed) in full detail, which will facilitate towards memorizing of the Quran correctly and swiftly. The course ends with the student having mastered the textual recitation of the Quran with tajweed and having successfully read the entire Quran multiple times with fluency.
Hifz: Students are taught the method of memorize the Quran with proper Tajweed. Special emphasis is placed on reinforcing the rules of tajweed during memorization. Periodic testing of the memorized portion of the Quran is done after each section (juz) of the Quran, which the student is required to pass in order to move forward.
This course is designed to cater for each individual student according to his capabilities and potential. The syllabus has been prepared in a manner that will enable each student to memorize the entire Qur’an and retain it by completing a one year revision (daur) of the entire Quran.
Applicants who are enrolled here will gain a systematic approach to complete their Hifz and also get an opportunity to learn the basic Islamic sciences, such as Hadith memorization, Masnun Duaa and Jurisprudence (fiqh).
Graduation Requirements:
Upon the complete memorization of the Holy Qur’an, students will be awarded the prestigious certificate of “Hafiz al-Qur’an” by Jamiatul Uloom New York.
