Things We Are Doing

Jamia Uloom New York could be summarized into three categories. They are: education, social service and preaching. In addition to the abovementioned programs we will be gradually proceeding for higher classes to teach the students up to the highest level. Such as takhssus fil fiqh, tafseer and hadith (spelization in jurisprudence, Quranic interpretation and Hadith)

Taleem (التعليم)

This taleem is collective - the family members preferably all sit together and let as many participants read a kitaab as is possible. Each kitaab should only be read for about 2 minutes.

Dawah (الدعوة)

Da'wah: is also the Sunnah (practice) of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). Allah SWT recognized him as Daa'ee Ila-Allah ("Daa'ee" or "Daa'iah" means the one who calls people to Allah SWT).

Khidmah (الخدمة)

Surah Al Nisa, 4: 37, Allah tells the believers to fulfill the rights and show utmost kindness. Parents, Kindred, Orphans, Neighbors that are family relative or not, The companion by your side, The wayfarer.

Academic (أكاديمي)

Alim Course

Alim course is a holy way with a solid chain driving the searcher of knowledge to acquire the legacy of Rasul Allah (SAW) and Taught by certified scholars in a conventional Environment.

Alimah Course

Alim course is a holy way with a solid chain driving the searcher of knowledge to acquire the legacy of Rasul Allah (SAW) and Taught by certified scholars in a conventional Environment.

Ifta Course

The advanced Specialisation in Fiqh and Ifta’ Program is a rigorous two-year course for which only a dozen or so places are available each year. If you are interested in this course, please apply today!

Nazirah and Hafiz Course

Prior to acceptance into the Hifz course, students must either enroll into the Nazirah course or have completed the Nazirah course at another Islamic institute. And then students will pursue Hifz Course.

Brother's Academic Program

JUNY features a strong academic program for Brothers that is conducted side-by-side with the Hifz & Nazirah course, and other courses providing academic tutoring from 4th grade to the 10th grade levels.

Sister's Academic Program

JUNY features a strong academic program for Sisters that is conducted side-by-side with the Hifz & Nazirah course, and other courses providing academic tutoring from 4th grade to the 10th grade levels.

Part Time (دوام جزئى )

After School Maktab

JUNY offers a three year course for children to stay connected to Islam while studying in school full time. Classes are held Monday to Thursday, from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Weekend Maktab

Students unable to join the weekdays Maktab can join for 3 hours on Saturdays and Sundays. The objective is similar to the weekdays Maktab, but the progress will be slower.

Masjid Al-Hamdulillah (ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّٰ مَسْجِد)

Nikah/Marriage Services

Islam desires that the nikah be announced in public so people are aware it. One method of informing people of the nikah and also to share the happiness brought by the union of the husband and wife is by conducting the nikah in the masjid. Masjid Al-Hamdulillah Foundation provides nikah services for Muslims according to Islamic teachings of marriage principles.

Friday Prayers

On Fridays, Muslim men must perform the weekly congregational Prayer called the Jumu`ah Prayer. This Prayer replaces the Zhuhr (Noon) Prayer on Friday and it is obligatory for all men to attend it. Women may also perform the Jumu`ah Prayer if they wish, but it is not obligatory for them. There are arrangements of Jumu`ah Prayer and Lectures at JUNY.
